Green Apple Garden Playschool respects that children are whole beings with interests and ideas of their own and they convey these ideas in 100 languages through their play. They create spaces and experiences in which children can learn and discover through play alongside peers and caring adults. Reggio does not use a pre-prescribed curriculum. Instead, teachers carefully design open-ended learning invitations for children to explore a wide variety of materials, tools, ways to move their bodies, and interact with each other and their greater community. By participating with children and observing their play, teachers scaffold children’s learning following the specific interests, skills and needs of their students. These activities fit into a predictable daily schedule that supports children’s confidence and independence.

Testimonials:

“I’ve had two kids attend Green Apple from infancy to kindergarten (and onto Apple Scouts!). During our time, the loving environment, the commitment to nature and diversity, the willingness to meet children where they are – all of that has remained constant.”
