Guest Post: Caring Santa at Briarwood Mall

The following is a guest post by Alice, a mother of four with three special needs children, about contributing to Ann Arbor with Kids focusing on topics of interest to special needs families. I will periodically be sharing her thoughts on activities and events from the perspective of a parent of a child with special needs.

I will be attending Caring Santa this year with my kids. Caring Santa is an event at Briarwood Mall for special needs families. Children have the opportunity to see Santa before the mall opens to limit noise, lines and other distractions.
My children, who are autistic, have never seen Santa in public. I am really looking forward to this event.
Here is a description from the Briarwood Mall website:

Caring Santa is Sunday, 12/8 @ 9 AM and is for special needs children. The set is open prior to the mall being open so that lights can be dimmed, music is turned off, and other distractions can be minimized.
