Celebrate Michigan Football National Championship

Congratulations to Michigan Football on winning the 2023 National Championship on Monday, January 8.

Now that the season is over (15-0!), it is time to celebrate.

Welcome Team Home

You can welcome the team home on Tuesday, January 9 at 7:30p (Pending any travel delays) at Schembechler Hall. If you can’t make it to Schembechler Hall, you can line the bus route. The team buses will be driving through campus and arriving to Schembechler Hall via South University to South State Street.

National Championship Celebrations

They will hold a formal National Championship Celebration on Saturday, January 13.

There will be a parade from the Presidents House on South University to State St and south to Schembechler Hall starting at 4p.

Then at 7p there will be a ticketed celebration inside Crisler Center. Tickets go on sale on Thursday for Athletic Department donors and on Friday for the general public (if tickets are still available).

Note the parade is weather dependent. Be sure to check their website for any updates. I will try to watch for updates, but will be out of town at a conference.

National Championship Merchandise

We are planning a trip to MDen next week. While they had some merchandise in stock on Tuesday, January 9, our shopping list includes not just t-shirts but mugs, laptop stickers, and more.

(Of course my daughter’s list would be longer if she knew she was accepted to Michigan now and not at the end of the month)
