The Michigan Flight Museum was empty the day we visited (during Winter Break January 2018). You can climb in some of the planes kept indoors. There are also some planes outdoors (although we visited on a frigid day and skipped those). We did see outdoor planes on Memorial Day events when my daughter was younger.

The Michigan Firehouse Museum is located adjacent to Ypsilanti’s Depot Town. The Firehouse Museum has a nice collection of historic fire trucks and a replica firehouse. The Saline Fair is an annual event that brings together agricultural displays, activities and a carnival. The event features hot air balloons that you can see on the ground, as they fly in, or during the Balloon Glow on Saturday night. Canton LibertyFest is a 3 day carnival. 2026 is the 33rd Canton LibertyFest. For 2026, fireworks will no longer be part of the festival.
