We Rock the Spectrum is a kids gym designed for kids of all abilities. Children and teens of all ages and abilities are welcome. The space is open to all, however some of the equipment has a weight limit.
About We Rock the Spectrum
Local Mom Robin Hall was looking for a play place that could accommodate her child who has ASD with moderate support needs. She was not finding many options locally, but stumbled on ads for We Rock the Spectrum. The nearest location was in Columbus, so she went on a mission to bring a We Rock the Spectrum Gym to Ann Arbor.
The first We Rock the Spectrum Gym was opened in Tarzana, CA to fill the need one family found for an indoor play venue to met the needs of their child on the Autism spectrum. Shortly after opening, families in other locations were asking to franchise the concept for their locations.
Today there are over 160 franchises of We Rock the Spectrum. Many are owned by families who started looking for inclusive play spaces to bring their child.
Explore the Gym
Kids will have plenty of fun checking out activities like the zip line, the rock wall, and various sensory swings.
The toddler/preschool area includes space for imaginative play such as a market down to the mini-Aldi carts.
The sensory friendly calming room has dimmer lights, headphones, and other calming elements.
The “teen” room lets older kids take a break from the gym with games and seating.
Parents can accompany their children in the gym or sit in the lobby. Unlike many indoor playgrounds, the gym is open with easy sight lines to see your children from both the lobby and the teen and party rooms.
They are ready to host your child’s birthday party with a large party room and tables.
Food & Retail
As you enter, there is a small retail shop in the lobby. It specializes in tactile and sensory friendly play items. They try to have a variety of lower priced options in the shop.
Snacks and drinks are available for purchase or you can bring your own food. You cannot eat on the gym floor, but you can eat in the party room (when not in use for a party) or the lobby.
Admission Options
We Rock the Spectrum offers your choice of a daily pass, a monthly, or six month pass.
A daily pass is $16 and gives you 3 hours of open play. Siblings are $15. When they are not crowded, they do not strictly enforce the 3 hour limit.
A monthly pass is available for:
- $100 – 1 child
- $140 – 2 children
- $180 – 3+ children
A 6 month pass is available for the price of 5 months.

- 12 visits – $160
Grand Opening
We Rock the Spectrum has their Grand Opening Event on Saturday, August 31. Regular admission rates apply, but they will have special activities and food provided by local companies. Passes will also be sold at a discount during the grand opening.
