Approve Facebook Branded Content Tags

When we are compensated for sharing information, ethical advertising standards require us to inform our readers that we have been compensated.

When the sharing is tagged on Facebook, they provide the Branded Content Tool to tag our partners so readers know you have paid us and that is how they expect disclosure. However, in order to tag a partner, they need to approve our business page to tag them with the Branded Content Tag.

There are two options as shown in the screenshot. Both are from going to the business manager, monetization (the $ icon), Branded Content:

  1. Blue circle – Add “Ann Arbor with Kids” here. As you type my page name should appear. You may also be able to search via a2withkids
  2. Red circle – Turn off Tagging Approvals (simpler, but may result in spam. I recommend option 1)
Facebook Business Suite - Monetization Tab - Branded Content - setting partner

This video demonstrates how to add a page as an allowable branded content partner. We cannot select our own page, so we have shown how to add using one of our advertisers as an example.
