Other Options for Reuse
In addition to resale and reshop shops there are a few other ways to shop previously used materials.
Mom2Mom sales remain popular with Just Between Friends dominating the local market in recent years. Also in this category is the JLC Book Sale typically held 3-4 times a year.
Spring into Savings with Ann Arbor Mom2Mom Sales 2026
Cooler weather is just around the corner, which means it will be time to swap the shorts, t-shirts and swim suits for coats, sweats and jeans. For young kids, that means that they will need almost a whole new wardrobe since last winter’s clothes are unlikely to still fit.
There is the traditional standby of garage sales especially in May through September.
There are also online options such as Facebook Marketplace, Buy Nothing Groups, and websites like Poshmark.
Where to Take My Clothes & Items for Reuse
There are options both to donate items and to sell items for cash or credit. You can also donate to charities that give directly to those in need.
Most of the thrift shops above take donations (Value World purchases items from recycling options, non-profits, and other retailers). Check their donation guides for items they accept in general and any categories they may temporarily pause. Or check out some of the consignment shops listed above.
The Just Between Friends Mom2Mom sale is a very popular option for reselling your children’s items. Once Upon a Child is also an option.
