Event Description

Eastern Michigan University theater presents The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical for one weekend only.

The show is recommended for ages 10+.

About the show:

In a dangerous world where the lines of fantasy and reality are blurred, middle-schooler Percy Jackson finds himself caught in the midst of navigating adolescence and ancient mythology. Shocked to discover he’s the son of a Greek god, Percy must quickly learn the latent powers that being a demigod offers and how to wield them. Before the dust settles in his introduction to this world of gods and monsters, he is accused of stealing Zeus’s master bolt and forced to take a stand. In a life-or-death race against time, Percy must navigate across the country with friends old and new, while battling a myriad of ancient monsters along the way. His action-packed adventure leads him to the depths of the underworld to retrieve the bolt that, if not returned, could cause a war between the gods and bring an end to the world as we know it.
