Ann Arbor Children’s Orchard Location to Close

This morning I learned that Children’s Orchard will be closing their Ann Arbor location.

Children’s Orchard is a chain of franchises that buy and sell used children’s clothes, furniture, and equipment. The entire Children’s Orchard chain has recently been sold to NTY Kids, a franchise company based in Minnesota.

The Ann Arbor location was operated by the Children’s Orchard corporate office and does not have a franchisee. Since NTY Kids will be operating only as a franchise holder, the corporate store will be closing.

The planned closure date is March 7. They are no longer buying new products. You must use your outstanding store credits, Cache Cards, Amazon Local, and LivingSocial vouchers before the closure as these items are only redeemable at the Ann Arbor location.

Children’s Orchard is located at 887 West Eisenhower Parkway in the Colonnade Shopping Center.

While they are open until March 7, I recommend shopping soon for the best selection.

After the closure of Children’s Orchard, there are still other options for buying and selling used children’s clothing. Once Upon a Child is located at 4559 Washtenaw Avenue (east of Carpenter Rd) and Grow With Me is in Westgate Shopping Center at 2521 Jackson Ave. There are also general thrift shops such as Salvation Army on State St, Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop on Industrial, and Goodwill in Saline.

There are also many Mom to Mom sales in the next few months.
