This morning, we started at a home breakfast tailgate. The three of us were the only UM fans, my sister went to ND & some of her friends were in for the game. But we were all decked in our UM gear & my daughter told them “Go Blue!”
Then we went to the parade for the Saline Community Fair in downtown Saline. We arrived at 11:57a & got a spot in the Farmers Market parking as someone left the market. We were able to walk right out to Michigan Ave and as we were sitting down, we heard the police sirens at the beginning of the parade. Within a few minutes they were at our location.
The parade was about 35 min long and included several local organizations. There were a lot of groups handing out water bottles, brochures, and candy! Kudos to the karate organization who gave out bags with some candy already in it. We hadn’t brought a bag for our candy so your bag worked perfectly.
We had a great time. While our spot was perfect coming in, it did take us about 15 min to be able to back out to leave. And there was a bit of traffic leaving.
Now, I’ve got to try to mow the lawn before the game. Go Blue!!
