Ann Arbor Jaycee’s Easter Egg Scramble

The Ann Arbor Jaycees held their Easter Egg Scramble at Veteran’s Park this weekend. We went on Saturday after my daughter’s swimming lesson at Mack Pool and had a wonderful time.

They had areas designated for different ages and scrambles roughly every half hour from 11a-1p. There were plenty of eggs available for the kids. The kids could collect as many eggs as they wanted and they then turned them all in for a treat bag. The eggs were then reused for the next scramble. Last year, we attended the Pittsfield Township Easter Egg Hunt where the eggs were filled with candy and my daughter was only able to get one egg before they were gone. The Pittsfield hunt also has only one hunt time. (If you are looking for an egg hunt, the Pittsfield hunt is at Montebeller Park on April 3 at 10a).

From Easter – Jaycees Egg Scramble

In addition to the egg hunt, there were several other activities going on. My daughter was able to dye an egg, participate in an egg and spoon race, and see a fire truck up close. The Easter Bunny was also there and there was a section for face painting. These both had long lines so we opted to skip them. There were coloring pages and crayons, but the coloring pages were gone when we looked (about 11:20).

We had a wonderful time at the egg hunt and will likely try to attend again next year.

Were you at the egg hunt? Let me know what you thought.
