It’s Wednesday and the weather is questionable, so this is Ann Arbor Public School’s fourth Wednesday in a row without school.
I received the 5:15a phone call from AAPS that school are closed again. Many other local schools and districts are closed, but not everyone. Notably Dexter, Whitmore Lake, and Saline were not on the closure list.
Non-School Closures/Late Openings/Openings
We will be monitoring local websites for closures and late openings. My husband said roads were not great this morning and recommended we stay home until later.
- 2|42 Community Center – Open on schedule, playground closed until turf replacement complete

Do you know of any other snow day camps?
Precipitation is scheduled to end this afternoon, but temperatures will remain low. Hopefully road conditions will improve throughout the day.
Heading to the movie theater is always a great choice on an ice day once the roads have cleared. I’m thinking of a movie this afternoon.
LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part opened over the weekend. Check out our review.
Two weeks ago, we saw Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse on a cold day off. Other options are The Kid Who Would Be King, Aquaman, and Mary Poppins Returns.
At Home Ideas
Does your child have any upcoming school projects? My daughter’s teacher sent her an assignment before tomorrow’s planned field trip. I was also hoping she’d get a chance to work on her
With Valentine’s Day this week, it’s also a great day to work on their Valentines for school or to send to family and friends. As a 7th grader, my daughter isn’t celebrating at school like in the younger grades. However, maybe we’ll bake a treat for this week.
I suggest verifying each event. When we see closures, I will update the list but may not get to all events.
