Is your child a soccer player who is ready to take their play to the next level? The Liverpool FC International Academy of Michigan is a new soccer club coming to Ann Arbor for the 2016-2017 season. The club is affiliated with the Liverpool Football Club and will be bringing the “Liverpool Way” to soccer instruction in Ann Arbor. Teams will wear the authentic Liverpool jersey in their games. The Liverpool FC International Academy of Michigan is based at the Ultimate Soccer Arena, Pontiac with the Ann Arbor club located at UM’s Mitchell and Elbel Fields.

The Liverpool FC International Academy of Michigan will hold tryouts for their inaugural Ann Arbor season on June 18/19. Leading up to the tryouts, they are holding a Free Clinic on Friday, May 20th and open practices on June 14th and June 16th. All events are split by age, so be sure to read the event details below.
Open Practices
Open practices will be held the week before tryouts. The open practices are free. The 2 hour clinic Clinic will be split with children born in 2005-2010 participating from 7-8p and those born from 1998-2004 participating from 8-9p. They will be held on Tuesday, June 14th and Thursday, June 16th.
Tryouts
All of the Liverpool FC International Academy Michigan locations will be holding their tryouts the weekend of June 18/19. Online registration is available for the tryouts. The Ann Arbor tryouts will be held at UM’s Elbel Field.
Liverpool FC International Academy Michigan Team
Liverpool FC International Academy Michigan will create teams for both boys and girls based on birth year. Teams will be coached by professional, certified coaches. They will practice twice a week and have 1-2 games each weekend in the fall and spring. They will also compete in 1 tournament in Fall and Spring. Teams will also participate in an indoor winter league where they will play games. Games will typically be located within a 45 minute drive of Ann Arbor with tournaments located within an hour drive (a little longer for higher ability level teams).
The full year cost ranges from $1200-2500 based on the age level plus uniform costs. Included in the cost are fall, spring, and winter seasons, 2 tournaments coaching expenses, referee expenses, indoor leagues, etc. Financial assistance and extended payment plans are available.
Liverpool FC International Academy Michigan Summer Camp
Whether your child joins Liverpool FC International Academy for the 2016-2017 season or not, Summer Camp is a great way to improve their soccer skills. Summer Camp will be held Monday, July 11 through Thursday, July 14. Each day’s camp will be from 9a-noon and is held at UofM’s Mitchell Field. Summer Camp costs $150 for the week.
