Go Like the Wind - Art Class

The Montessori method is a child-centered educational approach based on years of scientific observation of children by Dr. Maria Montessori. Our approach values the human spirit and the development of the whole child – physical, social, emotional and cognitive. Go Like the Wind is a caring and diverse environment embracing all nationalities and faiths.

Go Like the Wind - Middle Schoolers

Along with our child-centered educational programs, during the day children experience daily, weekly or bi-weekly specials including art, music, Spanish, technology and physical education. Walking down the halls you often hear beautiful music and the sound of children’s voices singing. You will also hear Spanish being spoken and see art work make the environment more beautiful.

Go Like the Wind - Flute Player

Go Like the Wind Montessori provides both before and after care, we call this “Educare.” Besides the traditional after school care including relaxation and play, children are able to partake in a variety of classes. After school art rotates through various themes such as community art projects, Mexican and Japanese art. After school music classes include vocal ensemble as well as modern band and music technology. After school technology classes include “Legos on the Move” and “Green Team Builders.” Other choices include study hall, reading club amongst others.

Go Like the Wind - Letters and Words

For continual care, summer camps are offered to the families attending Go Like the Wind along with the general public. Busing to Go Like the Wind is available from the Northeast corner of Ann Arbor is available for children ages three and up at 5221 Church Street in Ann Arbor. A staff member is present on the bus at all times.
