SUMMARY:Winter Woody Plant Indentification Hike
DESCRIPTION:\nThis 1–2 hour guided winter hike will be led by Bryana Guev
 ara\, PWS\, ISA Certified Arborist\, and will introduce participants to id
 entifying woody wetland and upland plant species using winter characterist
 ics\, including buds\, bark\, twigs\, growth form\, and habitat context. I
 nstruction is entirely field-based and will explore both wetland and uplan
 d habitats along the Eddy Discovery Center trails with an emphasis on prac
 tical\, efficient identification techniques for winter fieldwork and surve
 ys. This is a winter outdoor activity. Participants should be prepared for
  variable weather and trail conditions and wear appropriate cold-weather a
 nd waterproof gear.\n\n\n\nOptional to bring: hand lens (10×)\, write-in-
 the-rain notebook and pencil\, plant ID guides\, binoculars\, camera\, poc
 ket knife\, clipboard.\n\n\n\nCost: $2/person or $5/family. Program limite
 d to 15 participants. \n\n\n\nThe building is closed so program will be en
