About The Secret Garden (from Encore Musical Theatre):

The Secret Garden is a musical with music by Lucy Simon, book and lyrics by Marsha Norman, based on the novel by Frances Hudgson Burnett.

Orphaned in India, young Mary Lennox journey’s to Yorkshire, England with her embittered uncle Archibald and his sheltered son, Colin. This beloved tale comes to life onstage through a hauntingly beautiful score that helps the inhabitants of the estate and the “Dreamers” – spirits from Mary’s past – navigate this journey of rediscovery, faith, and love. Notable songs include “Lily’s Eyes,” “The Girl I Mean to Be,” and “How Could I Ever Know.”
