Event Description

In partnership with the Ozone House Drop-In Center and the Parkridge Community Center, the Ypsilanti District Library invites all teens to attend their summer Noise Permit workshops to celebrate music, arts and culture in the teen community.

These workshops will be led by Kam Reynolds, your friendly neighborhood comic book artist and rapper, aka ‘Kool Ade Kam’, on Mondays and led by Dante Dorsey, founder of Music Means More, on Wednesdays. Workshops will run June 17 through July 31, from 4:30pm-6:30pm.   From song-writing to making beats, one of these workshops will be just the ticket for gaining a new skill or honing an artistic dream that you’re already pursuing. On Friday, August 2nd, teens will have a chance to perform their songs, poems, spoken-word and any other type of performance live, on-stage, in the YDL Mich Ave plaza at our annual Teen Noise Permit Concert. All workshops will be held at the Parkridge Community Center.

For more information about these workshops, please email Kelly at kscott@ypsilibrary.org.   *To register for these workshops, please visit this link. Space is limited.
