Event Description

Head to Independence Lake for a New Moon Night Adventure

You’ll gaze upon fall constellations and share their stories. Participants will also look and listen for animals and learn how they use their senses to roam around the park at night. Led by parks naturalist, Kelsey Dehring. Hike begins at the Beach Center pavilion and finishes near a bon-fire with hot cocoa and s’mores.

Please monitor the weather and remember to dress for the outdoors. Although headlamps or flashlights are not required some participants find bringing one helpful. 

The event is $5/family or household up to 4 members. Only one person needs to register per family of 4.

Vehicle entry fee is required ($6/day for county residents, $10/day for non-residents or $30/year for county residents or $45/year for non-residents).
