Head to Independence Lake for a New Moon Night Adventure
March’s full moon is considered the last full moon of winter and is oten called the worm moon due to the emerging earthworms.
Join parks naturalist, Elle Bogle for a hike to learn about the worm moon and look for salamanders (if the weather is right). Hike begins at the Beach Center pavilion and finishes with a campfire with hot cocoa and s’mores.
Please monitor the weather and remember to dress for the outdoors. An email will be sent the week of the program with tips on what to wear and bring.
The event is $5/family or household up to 4 members. Only one person needs to register per family of 4. There are two sessions, one from 7-8p and one from 8-9p
Vehicle entry fee is required ($6/day for county residents, $10/day for non-residents or $30/year for county residents or $45/year for non-residents).
