SUMMARY:Make Music Day | Modular Synth Workshop
DESCRIPTION:\nIf you want to get started learning about synthesizers\, this
  is the event for yoThis workshop encourages participation by women and ge
 nder non-conforming individuals in electronic music performance. Participa
 tion is open to all genders and provides a hands-on opportunity to learn t
 he basics of modular synthesis.\n\n\n\nSynthesizers can be mysterious inst
 ruments and it can be hard to know why they make the noises they do. This 
 workshop will begin to demystify synthesis\, give you some hands-on experi
 ence with a modular synth\, and direct you towards resources to continue t
 he journey on your own.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nAfter leaving the workshop you will 
 be able to:- Explain what modular synthesis is and how synths generate sou
 nd- Name many of the waveforms used in synthesis- Use an envelope and expl
 ain what it is- Describe modulation sources and ways we can use them- Crea
 te a patch and jam with it\n\n\n\nProduced in partnership with Immaculate 
 Conception and Media Ensemble. No prior experience necessary.u. North Coas
 t Modular Collective will explain how to get started producing with hardwa
 re synthesizers\, in a digital audio workstation\, or with modular synthes
 izers. You can also connect with the local community of electronic musicia
 ns and instrument makers.\n\n\n\nFor teens &amp\; adults. Held in lower le
 vel program room.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
