April is National Poetry Month, join YDL in celebrating poetry month with weekly writing sessions to explore the different styles of poetry and writing. Each week will have a different theme for participants to explore and learn about poetry.

• April 16 – Black Out & Find Poetry
• April 23 – Exploring poetry through creativity with Ypsilanti’s 2024 Youth Poet Laureate Ruth Mella
• April 30 – Interconectedness of language and culture in poetry
