Event Description

Junior Naturalist is a free nature learning series for youth ages 7- 12. Parks Naturalists Kelsey and Shawn lead hikes and teach nature skills. Kids receive a badge for each completed program and after 4 programs, kids can choose a cool nature prize.

In many cultures, native people would tell the stories of their travels by collecting meaningful pieces of nature to build a journey stick. They are a wonderful way to capture observations and feelings had during any adventure. Join naturalist, Kelsey Dehring, to journey with mindfulness as we craft our own journey stick.

This program is free. Pre-registration is required. To register your child, visit parksonline.ewashtenaw.org.
