Have you ever wondered what organism created that fossil you found years ago? What about the shells picked up on the beach? Or perhaps you have an intriguing leaf or stone you would like to know something about.
If so, bring them to the Museum for identification by University of Michigan faculty, students, and other experts on ID Day, Sunday, October 4, 2015, Noon – 5:00 PM.
Visitors can bring natural objects such as fossils, bones, shells, rocks, insects, and artifacts such as arrowheads where they will be reviewed by experts and identified. The experts will also bring items from their collections and will share the significance of various objects. (Sorry, no appraisals will be given.)
