What’s the most enchanting, nostalgic and fantastical Halloween adventure? It’s The Henry Ford’s Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village, Michigan’s premier outdoor October celebration.
From harvest markets and fall themes to costumed storybook characters and ghostly performances, our Hallowe’en tradition is one of a kind, showcased within the bewitching setting of Greenfield Village after hours.

Hosted over 16 evenings in October, Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village is formatted for guests to stroll through the village at their own pace, picking and choosing their own festive or frightful experience.
Harvest-themed activities from the 18th and 19th centuries are included in the program’s daytime hours for a family-friendly fall atmosphere that transitions to traditional Hallowe’en spookiness as twilight falls.
A must-see addition to your evening, the Hallowe’en Express will return to its haunted tracks by popular demand, taking riders along a ghoulish and surprising journey through Greenfield Village. Timed tickets for the Hallowe’en Express are available to purchase online for $3.

- Fall Flavor Weekends programming in daylight hours, including wool dying, beer brewing and Hallowe’en yard games.
- Hallowe’en Express train experience (additional $3 ticket purchase required)
- 18th- and 19th-century activities, including wool dyeing, cooking demonstrations, beer brewing, corn husk crafts and Hallowe’en yard games
- More than 50 costumed characters like the Grim Reaper, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and more
- Dramatic vignettes from The Wizard of Oz, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The Tell-Tale Heart and more
- Imaginative storybook experiences from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Peter Pan
- Village-wide theming with special lighting and sound effects
- Illuminated jack-o’-lantern path
- Fall treats, hot beverages and craft beer available for purchase
- New in 2023! FREE horse-drawn carriage rides
Costumes are encouraged. But, trick or treating is no longer part of the experience.

We’ve attended Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village several times under the old format- 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016. Greenfield Village will be hosting us in 2023 to updated our information on the event.
Tickets are already on sale for members. Tickets for the general public go on sale at 8a September 6.
