Event Description

Learn how to take cuttings of herbs to grow inside and how to bring houseplants back inside during colder weather.

Have your houseplants and herbs had a summer vacation outside? Time to bring them indoors before winter! We’ll touch on houseplants but will concentrate on taking cuttings of herbs. Advanced Master Gardener Carol Brodbeck will discuss and demo two methods: soft stem cuttings (basil, mint, lemon balm, lemon verbena, parsley, and salvia) and woody stem cuttings (lavender, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, sage).  Attendees will received a handout of instructions to take home for reference.
