DESCRIPTION:\nThey’re huge\, they’re blue\, and they’re one of Michig
 an’s most recognizable birds. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more abou
 t the Great Blue Heron join us for a short presentation on heron life hist
 ory\, including what they eat\, how they live\, and what they’re doing. 
 Then we will hit the trail for a walk outside to observe the rookery (wher
 e they’re nesting and laying eggs) to hopefully see some of these amazin
 g birds.\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect:This program starts indoors\, ends outside.
  The time\, approximately 45 minutes\, will be spent on a leisurely walk w
 ith frequent stops. Expect to walk about 1 mile. We will conclude at the N
 ature Center. The planned path is dirt and gravel\, mostly flat and level\
 , includes some bridges and boardwalks\, and is suitable for wheelchairs a
 nd strollers. No prior experience is necessary. For maximum enjoyment\, so
 me of our time will require all participants to patiently remain quiet and
  listen closely.\n\n\n\nFor ages 13+. Children must be accompanied by an a
 dult.\n\n\n\nRegister by 4p the day before the event.\n\n\n\n\n
