SUMMARY:Wee-Write
DESCRIPTION:\nHear a book and get inspired! Students ages 5-8 will experien
 ce the joy of story-creating however they are able\, from writing to conve
 rsation-based brainstorming and development of new ideas.\n\n\n\nEach week
  they'll start by reading a book aloud and pay attention to one special th
 ing the writer does (like using rhyme to impact the reader\, or how the wr
 iter shows a character’s feelings). Then\, they'll work on activities in
 spired by that idea. Students brainstorm with volunteers and then do indep
 endent writing in whatever form and subject they choose. Students experien
 ce the joy of story-creating however they are able\, from the physical act
  to conversation-based brainstorming and developing new ideas.\n\n\n\nFami
 lies will be asked to fill out a registration form on their student's firs
 t day. This form can be completed in advance on 826michigan's website. 
 There will be paper copies at the program too. \n\n\n\nThis is a drop-in p
 rogram–join when you can! \n
