Family Social Justice Playdate

For more than 10 years, Ann Arbor with Kids has been a reliable source of information for our community. We will continue to provide updates on events and activities that are open under government guidelines. This does not constitute an endorsement or a suggestion that we jump back into a “normal” way of life. Masks are encouraged if you are out in public spaces. During this time we encourage everyone to be informed and do what they feel is best for their own family. Where readily available we have shared social distancing precautions being taken by the event organizers. Please follow up with them if you have any questions.

Event Description

Join Bend the Arc for a family-centered, action-oriented event focused on Sukkot and its connection to immigration. All are welcome – with or without kids!

Activities will include two art projects, postcard writing to U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, and a story. We’ll be decorating paper butterflies as a part of a project to place them around Ann Arbor to welcome refugees and to hang in a sukkah.

Suggested donation of $5-10 for Jewish Family Services to purchase much-needed supplies for newly resettled refugee families. Kids will be able to participate in giving through an activity.
