Birding Walk

Spread the love
Michigan is easing restrictions especially as many people become vaccinated against COVID. We know families have different comfort levels with various activities. Please use your own judgement on whether the event is right for your family. Check mask guidelines for the event itself. While no longer legally required, masks are still recommended for those not fully vaccinated if you are indoors or outdoors when distancing is not possible. We encourage people to continue wearing masks (and do ourselves even though we are fully vaccinated).

Event Description

Join members of the Washtenaw County Audubon Society for a walk near the library, get birding resources, and learn birding tips.

Have you ever been curious about the feathered friends singing and flying around your house or in your parks? Are you looking for a fun, socially-distanced activity to do outside with your family and friends? Join Ypsi Library for an introductory look into birding.

Members of the Washtenaw County Audubon Society will talk about some of the reasons that birding can become a lifelong hobby, share some tips on how to get started, and finally take a walk near the library to see what birds you can find. If you have binoculars, bring them along! Otherwise, extra pairs will be available.
