DESCRIPTION:\nJoin award-winning local author Hadil Ghoneim to celebrate Na
 tional Arab American Heritage Month.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nHadil will read from he
 r new book\,&nbsp\;Arabic Folktales for Children: Timeless Stories to Shar
 e in English and Arabic. It is a bilingual collection of eight Arabic folk
 tales\, retold in both English and Arabic text and vividly illustrated for
  children.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nStories include the beloved folktale character Go
 ha (aka Nasreddin Hodja) and his iconic donkey\, a stubborn king bested by
  an old wise man\, and a collared dove saved by her animal friends from th
 e Kalila wa Dimna fables (which originated in the ancient Panchatantra).\n
 \n\n\nDrawn from written and oral sources\, these stories have survived fo
 r many centuries and traveled across continents thanks to the tradition of
  storytelling and translation that continues to connect people from around
  the world. &nbsp\;\n\n\n\nReading will be followed by crafts and a signin
 g\, with books for sale from Black Stone Bookstore.\n\n\n\nAll ages welcom
 e.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n
