 , and the Proclamation Line\, the American Revolution changed the world an
 d ultimately the land that would become the United States. Indigenous nati
 ons were placed in a position to decide how best to protect their lands an
 d people. Working on promises made to them by the Patriot cause\, many nat
 ions ultimately fought for the Colonists. Learn who these nations were\, w
 hat their contributions were to the struggle for Independence\, and the ul
 timate betrayal they faced afterwards.\n\n\n\nHeather Bruegl\, inspired by
  a trip to Wounded Knee\, South Dakota\, quickly developed a passion for N
 ative American History. Curiosity for her own heritage led her to Wisconsi
 n\, where she has researched the history of the Native American tribes of 
 that region. Heather is a graduate of Madonna University of Michigan and h
 olds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in U.S. History. She currentl
 y travels and lectures on Native American history\, including policy and a
