SUMMARY:AADL Welcomes | Wee-Write with 826michigan
DESCRIPTION:\nEach week\, the youngest 826michigan writers meet to play and
  explore what writing can do. Wee-Write is a writing and literacy program 
 for 5-8 year-old students offered weekly to explore writing through differ
 ent genres and themes. \n\n\n\nIn each session they do an icebreaker\, rea
 d a book\, talk about the book\, and then use one of the author's practice
 s or themes in their own writing. Students experience the joy of writing h
 owever they are able\, from the physical act to conversation-based brainst
 orming and development of new ideas. \n\n\n\nTrained and background checke
 d 826michigan volunteers support students as they write individually. At t
 he end of the session students have the opportunity to share what they've 
 written with the whole group. \n\n\n\nThis is a drop-in program and weekl
