Yardbird Smoked Meats – Join Me For a Tasting
Does your family love barbecue? We are big fans in my family – especially my husband and daughter. My husband has a group of co-workers who have a guy’s night to visit various destinations throughout Southeastern Michigan. After he has sampled them, he has brought us back to some of his favorites.
Yardbird Smoked Meats is a new smokehouse restaurant that has opened in Keego Harbor, MI this fall. Chef Jeremy Grandon has created a menu of “low-n-slow” smoked meats with creative sides. The restaurant is designed to resemble a traditional Texas barbecue.
I have been invited to a tasting event at Yardbird on Tuesday evening, April 21st. The best part is that I can invite three readers to attend too! My daughter and husband aren’t too happy that I’m bringing readers and not them. I have promised them a return trip
During the private, invite-only tasting, we’ll join other regional bloggers and their guests in sampling some of Yardbird’s signature dishes, sides, desserts, and nonalcoholic beverages. There will be a cash bar available for alcoholic beverages. Anyone who posts a Yelp! review during the event will also receive Yardbird swag to take home.
I can’t wait to try the barbecue at Yardbirds. My favorite barbecue dish is mac & cheese topped with pulled pork. My daughter is also a big fan. Even if it isn’t on the menu, we usually join together and make our own mac & cheese with pulled pork. We order either an entree order of Mac & Cheese and one of pulled pork, or order a pulled pork entree and two sides of Mac & Cheese. What is your favorite barbecue dish? Leave a comment below (and gain an extra entry in the giveaway).
Entry for one of my invitations is simple via the blog entry form below. There is a basic entry just for signing into the giveaway (I do need a way to contact the winner). There are also several bonus entries as well including leaving a comment with your favorite dish that I mentioned above. Be sure to log all of the entries into the form since only entries through the form are counted.
