Take a Mom Break with mike’s hard lemonade- #mymikesmoment #sponsored #mc

Disclaimer: I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for mike’s hard lemonade. I received a Circle K gift card to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

I’m going to take a moment to step away from kids activities and talk to the moms for a minute. As we’re running our kids from activity to activity, it can be hard to take a moment for ourselves. Since it comes ready to drink in single serve bottles, mike’s hard lemonade is a perfect time out for busy moms especially if you stop at Circle K and buy a 6pack from the refrigerator.

After picking my daughter up from school last week, we made a couple of stops on the way home. One of our stops included Circle K to pickup snacks including mike’s hard pink lemonade for me. Actually, it ended up being stops at two Circle K locations since the first location we visited (Michigan Ave and Carpenter Rd) does not carry alcoholic beverages.

It was super convenient to grab the mike’s hard pink lemonade and pickup some snacks for my daughter. Of course, my daughter decided to be like Mom and get her own pink lemonade. I cannot believe how difficult it was to buy her a treat – chips, ice cream, candy, etc was all rejected. She just wasn’t hungry, but I did convince her to try some Ho-Hos.

I am not a beer drinker, so mike’s hard lemonade is the perfect drink for me to enjoy with a meal. Last Saturday, I definitely needed a #mymikesmoment break. We made a pizza at home to eat while we watched the Michigan at Notre Dame game. Unfortunately, the previous use of the oven had included a sugar syrup that bubbled over creating a smoky kitchen when we tried to bake the pizza. Fortunately, with the exhaust fan and open windows we were able to clear the smoke out quickly.

After dealing with the smoke, it was nice to relax with a mike’s hard pink lemonade. Of course, it also helped deal with Michigan’s loss.

Mike’s Hard Lemonade Co. is celebrating it’s 15th anniversary this year. This fall they will be bringing back their annual mike’s hard pink lemonade, a limited edition available through October(ish). Sales of mike’s hard pink lemonade help to support breast cancer research with more than $1 million donated over the years.

I’ve rarely had mike’s hard lemonade in the past, but after enjoying it with this promotion, I’m definitely a convert. I’m not a beer drinker, so this is a nice substitute. I love that it comes in single serve bottles so I don’t have the commitment of a bottle of wine or have to take the time to make a mixed drink.

Since the, I’ve had plent of chances to need a mymikesmoment: After helping my daughter with her homework last week I definitely needed a mymikesmoment. After a teacher last year who didn’t give homework, it was a definite adjustment last week with her first homework assignment. Today I am also dealing with a sick kid…who isn’t really sick. She is congested with a cold and running an on/off fever. When the fever is gone she’s energetic and wants to play, see friends, play a game with me, etc. Then when it hits she becomes lethargic. I’m also trying to get work done, so by the end of the day I’ll probably need a mymikesmoment.

So what is your #mymikesmoment? When would you like a break in your busy schedule to enjoy a mike’s?
