Ann Arbor Summer Movies

Being Updated for 2018

Summer is always a great time for movies. If anything about this year’s movie slate is exceptional, it would be how many great movies are scheduled.

Summer 2016 Movies

Of course with all of these great movies, it can be expensive to visit the theater that often. We have found that we can save money at the theater by taking advantage of matinee pricing (especially Early Bird pricing at Rave Cinemas) and bargain days (Wednesday at Rave and Tuesday at Quality 16).

Ann Arbor Outdoor Movies

Summer is a great time for outdoor movies. Options include Top of the Park, Saline Movies in the Park, SRSLY Cinema in Chelsea, and more.

Ann Arbor Discounted Summer Movies

All 3 of our local theater chains have a free or discounted kids summer movie series.

Quality 16 offers the most options with their series running Monday-Friday. The movie changes each week.

Personally, I am a big fan of Emagine and their recliners. They’re movies are $2/person – but you get their awesome recliners! Plus, they offer an unlimited popcorn bucket valid May 1-October 31 for $15. We definitely got our money’s worth out of the November-April bucket, and already bought our new buckets..
