Sledding at Rolling Hills – Open Late
Yesterday I took my daughter sledding at Rolling Hills. I was thrilled to get (at least) one more use from my 2013 vehicle pass. The Rolling Hills sledding hill is one of our favorite Ann Arbor sledding options.
Rolling Hills Sledding
My daughter enjoyed sledding as much as when she went last year. On the first few trips that we took last year, she insisted that I join her on a few runs. This year, she insisted on going alone each time.
While we were at the sledding hill, I was quite surprised to see their hours posted. The Sledding Hill is open from 8a until 8:30p daily.
I had assumed that the sledding hill was open during daylight hours, so the late evening hours really surprised me. I have often wished that the water park was open past 7p on weekdays (when it is still light out in the summer), so I was surprised that they have the sledding hill open at night.
Available for Rent…
We have always brought our own sleds, but they have inner tubes and tobaggons available for rent. The rental shed is open from 4-9p on weekdays and 10a-9p on the weekend and Ypsilanti Winter Break. They also have a party room available for rent. If I knew there would be favorable sledding conditions in a few weeks for my daughter’s birthday party, I would definitely try to talk her into a Rolling Hills Sledding Party.
Entry to Rolling Hills Park
If you have a 2016 vehicle pass you can use it for admission to the park through December 31. If you don’t have a Washtenaw County Park Vehicle Pass, they are currently selling the 2018 pass ($30 for county residents). A 2018 vehicle pass would make a great family gift.
Daily admission is $6 for Washtenaw county residents.
