Retro Cereal Packs

provided by MyBlogSpark

Have you seen the Retro packaging on select General Mills cereals at Target? The front of the box features the same cover as was used in the past. The back features Atari games. I usually buy my cereal at Target as they have some of the best regular prices and are even better when they have the cereals on sale.

My husband and I both grew up playing Atari games both at the arcade and at home on the television. Games like PacMan, Centipede, Asteroid and Missile Command were part of our childhood. Many classic Atari games are available for download for your PC. There are also many games available for your iPhone. My daughter has played many of these games on her iPod Touch. The Atari 80 Classic Games in One is available for PC Download. Unfortunately, there is no Mac version of the game. However, anyone can checkout and play one of the games online.

The Back of the Cereal Packages

The cereals available with the retro packaging are Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Honey Nut Cheerios, and Cocoa Puffs. I received Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch in my test package.

I am not a huge fan of Cheerios, but my mother loves them and was thrilled to get my box. I never had Cinnamon Toast Crunch as a child, but am enjoying them now as a snack.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
