Movie Roundup – Reviews, Previews, & More
Are you looking for a movie to see with your family? I’ve gathered information on current family-friendly (depending on the age of your family) movies as well as some coming attractions.
In Theaters Now
It has been fairly recently that I have started to see commercials for Fantastic Four. My daughter has already seen the original Fantastic Four movies, and is now looking forward to the movie. To help us get ready, we Had a Fantastic Four Night watching Fantastic Four cartoons.
Shaun the Sheep
Shaun the Sheep is another new movie that has flown under the radar as far as promotion goes. It opened on Wednesday which was one of the first times that I had heard about it.
My family loved Ant-Man. We all enjoyed it more than Avengers: Age of Ultron. My daughter ranked it as a close second, or possibly a tie, with her favorite MARVEL movie Guardians of the Galaxy.
My daughter has been looking forward to Minions for months. She really enjoyed getting to see the movie in the theater.
Disney•Pixar’s “Inside Out” continues the Pixar movie magic. I loved that the girl in the movie, Riley was a hockey player.
Also in Theaters
I don’t know a lot about Pixels, but my daughter has been asking to see this movie. The movie is rated PG-13 and while my daughter has seen many PG-13 movies, I am leaning away from letting my daughter see this movie. While I have seen some reviews say that it is ok for kids, others have said that the movie is very derogatory towards women – not something I want her to pick up. It’s an Adam Sandler film, so I’m not too surprised. We were on vacation when the movie came out, and I am hoping that her attention has been diverted.
