Monday is Target Family Day with Admission to Henry Ford Museum
For 2014 Target is sponsoring four Target Family Days at Henry Ford Museum throughout the year. Previous Target Family days were on Martin Luther King Jr Day and Presidents Day. The two remaining dates for 2014 are on Monday, September 1 (Labor Day) and Tuesday, November 4 (Election Day).
In addition to free admission, there will be special activities all day. There will be live music, hands-on activities, dramatic presentations, make-and-take activities, and more.
My daughter always has a great time when we visit the Henry Ford Museum. I love how they combine history exhibits with fun activities for the kids. Whether it is the rubbings available throughout the museum, or folding and testing paper airplanes in the airplane exhibit or building K’nex race cars and testing them, my daughter loves the activities. (My tip is to bring a bag to carry their paper airplanes, rubbings, and other special make and take activities.)
The below picture is from our first visit to the museum right before my daughter’s 4th birthday. She loved looking at all of the presidential limos, asked for her picture, and went over to pose.
Whenever I’ve asked her in the past if she wants to go to the Henry Ford, she always says yes.
Make plans to attend Target Family Day at the Henry Ford Museum on either September 1 or November 4. I know we’ll be planning a trip for fall once the Gridiron Glory exhibit from the Pro Football Hall of Fame open (October 3 through January 4)
