Mom2Mom Consignment Sale in Saline Coming Soon
In the past I have opted to donate old clothes, baby items, and more. However, this spring I decided to participate in the Mom2Mom Consignment Sale held twice a year in Saline (spring & fall). When I heard about Mom2Mom Consignment, I decided to participate. I like that I can drop off my sale items Friday afternoon and pick up anything left on Saturday afternoon. With soccer and other activities, this fits my schedule much better than a sale where I have to spend Saturday morning at the sale and have already signed up to participate again.
I am receiving free seller registration in exchange for advertising space on Ann Arbor with Kids.
I have learned from my spring sale experience. I waited until three days before the sale to start washing and tagging my items. This time I am going to start preparing items as soon as my daughter returns to school, even if it is only 1-2 hours/day. I also learned that toys and items sell very well, so I am going to focus my efforts on those items first instead of leaving them as an afterthought as I did in the spring. I opted to have my unsold items returned to me. Since I had a list of what I had sent, this allowed me to see what sold and gave me ideas on pricing for the fall sale and what types of items sold well.
The Mom2Mom Consignment Sale is coming to Liberty School in Saline on Saturday, September 21 from 9a-2p. Registration opened today for new sellers. Admission on September 21 will be on a first-come basis. Admission is $1/adult before noon.
Mom2Mom Consignment Sale
This will be the 6th sale held at Liberty School in Saline, which is organized and directed by local Saline Resident and mother of two, Teresa Ferenczy. This sale is held twice a year in the spring and fall and is a huge draw for sellers and buyers alike. This is not your typical mom to mom sale where buyers stop by individual tables and owners sit and sell their items. This sale is different in that it makes it very easy for shoppers and buyers by having the sale run in a “department” style. Sellers drop off their items on Friday, September 20 between 3-6pm and the staff and volunteers of the sale sort and organize all the clothing by gender and size in one large room. There is a separate room for toys and large items as well as so many other items like books, baby gear, maternity, etc..The sale is on Saturday from 9-2. Entry fee is $1.00 for adults, from 9-noon and then from noon-2:00, everyone is free. After the sale sellers can pick up their unsold items or have them donated to a local organization. They will receive check within 10 days for their items sold. This sale is growing and growing every year. Due to space, there are only a limited amount of sellers at each sale. As for shoppers….get there early on Saturday for all the best deals. Lots of treasures to be found.
