Merry Christmas Eve!

I want to wish all of my readers a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and a Happy New Year.

We went to Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village last night and had a great time. I definitely recommend buying tickets to attend next year.

Hopefully you have finished your holiday shopping. We finished ours at Target on Thursday and the grocery shopping yesterday. We even have our wrapping finished. However, we have food preparation,  cleaning and laundry to finish.

If you’re looking for some ways to entertain the kids while one parent finishes holiday prep work, there are a few activities. Don’t assume that your favorite play place, library, etc will be open today. I recommend calling to confirm their hours.

There are a few events planned for today:

After laying out your presents under the tree or filling the stockings, take a picture and turn it into a photo of Santa at your house with this great deal. What a magical treat for Santa to leave behind!
Tomorrow at 4p the Michigan Theater will have a FREE showing of A Christmas Carol

After Christmas, there are some special events going on. Next week kids can make puppets at the DIA. The Hands On Museum will have Hands On Holidays December 26-January 6. Ann Arbor Parks will have additional public sessions at Buhr Ice Arena, Veterans Ice Arena, and Mack Pool.

Below are a few places that I checked and whether they are open or closed. Others did not list holiday hours on their website or I did not look into. I suggest calling before going.
