Made in Michigan – Macy’s Second Monday at Henry Ford Museum
Each month Macy’s sponsors a Macy’s Second Monday at either the Henry Ford Museum or Greenfield Village. The event runs from 10a-noon and is designed for preschool aged children.
The April Macy’s Second Monday will be on Monday, April 8 at The Henry Ford Museum with a “Made in Michigan” theme. There will be storytelling, make-and-take activities, and live musical entertainment. They will have giveaways and more.

My recommendation is to bring a bag to carry your child’s make and take activities. That is actually a good advice anytime that you visit the museum. My daughter wants to make every rubbing and always makes at least one paper airplane which she wants to bring home.
Macy’s Second Monday events are FREE with museum admission. Members and children ages 4 and under are admitted free. Adult admission is $17, children’s admission (ages 5-12) is $12.50. If you are not a member, I suggest checking out the coupons for Macy’s Second Monday. There is currently a coupon for 25% off of adult admission on Macy’s Second Mondays (valid April, November, and December). (The May through November events will be at Greenfield Village which have a separate coupon).
We have only attended a couple of Macy’s Second Mondays through the years. We attended our first one in 2010 after we first joined the museum. Shortly thereafter my daughter moved to Monday/Wednesday/Friday preschools schedule so we were unable to attend.
Maybe this summer we will be able to attend the July or August event at Greenfield Village while she is on summer break if it doesn’t conflict with a camp.
