Does your tween want to learn to knit?  Spun is starting a new session of their Kid’s Knitting Club. The Kid’s Knitting Club is for kids ages 8-12, both beginning and experienced knitters.

Kid’s Knitting Club

The Kid’s Knitting Club will meet at 4:30-6p on Wednesday afternoons from April 20 through May 25.

No Events

The Club will be led by teacher Andrea Horvath. Knitters of all levels are welcome to attend the club. Andrea will teach beginners the basics to get them started. She will also help experienced knitters with their projects. Knitters will be encouraged to each work at their own pace. The goal of the club is to provide a relaxing atmosphere while having fun.

Kid’s Knitting Club Location

Kid’s Knitting Club is held at Spun. Spun is located inside Kerrytown Market & Shops, at 407 N. Fifth St. Spun opened on December 1, 2015. It is owned and operated by a local Ann Arbor family.

Registration for Kid’s Knitting Club

In order to ensure that all attendees get personal attention, the Kid’s Knitting Club has limited capacity at each meeting. Attendees are welcome to register for every week, or just register for the weeks they can attend. As the end of the year approaches, I know that there always seems to be more on our schedule so the flexibility to not make a 6 week commitment is appreciated.

You can sign your child up for an upcoming meetings of the Kid’s Knitting Club in person or by calling Spun at 734-780-7867.

What to Bring to Kid’s Knitting Club

Each attendee should bring one set of straight needles (any size between 6 and 10). They should also bring a skein worsted weight yarn. If you don’t have these supplies, plan to arrive early to purchase them. You can also buy materials after a meeting once you decide on a project for future meeting.
