Cold is Cool! Free Skiing*!

Thanks to KZoo Kids for sharing this Free Skiing offer for 4th and 5th graders*. Michigan Snowsports Industries Association (MSIA) is offering a “Cold is Cool” Ski & Ride Pass to all 4th and 5th graders in Michigan. Kids will be allowed up to 3 lift tickets or trail passes at each of 30 participating ski areas. Mount Brighton is the nearest participating location to Ann Arbor.

Cold is Cool - Free Skiing for 4th and 5th Graders

In addition to the lift/trail tickets, each Cold is Cool passport includes discounts at over 50 participating ski shops. Deals include 20% off of a helmet purchase or $15 off of $100.

Personally I’ve never been skiing, and am interested in trying it. I doubt I can convince my daughter to give it a try. However, a free promotion might convince her to try it.

*While MSIA is promoting Free Skiing, the passport has a $20 administrative fee. It also does not include equipment rental. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult (season passes do not qualify).
