Downtown Branch of AADL Will Be Closed Monday Afternoon
If you have been to the Downtown Branch of Ann Arbor District Library this summer you have probably seen the elevator closures which have resulted in the closure of the basement where the multi-purpose room is located. After bringing my daughter to two GameStart School workshops in the third-floor Training Room, I will be glad when the elevator is working again.
On Monday afternoon they will be bringing heavy equipment through the front door and down the main stairs to drill a new well for the jack. To ensure everyone’s safety the library will be closing at 1p on Monday, August 11 before the work begins.
The Monday morning Baby Playgroup will be held as scheduled on Monday, August 11 at 10:30a in the Youth Story Corner of the Downtown Branch.
The Minecraft Programming Workshop scheduled for the Training Room at 2p has been cancelled. A second session was already scheduled for Monday, August 25 so there is still an opportunity to attend the workshop.
The Frankenstein Puppet Show had previously been relocated from the Downtown Branch to the Pittsfield Branch. The Frankenstein Puppet Show is from 3-3:45p.
Hopefully the elevator repair will be finished soon and the library can return to normal operations.
