Dora the Explorer Live: Dora’s Pirate Adventure

Do you have a Dora the Explorer lover at your house? My daughter never really liked the show, although she loved the books.

Skyline High School’s Theatre Group will be performing Dora the Explorer Live!: Dora’s Pirate Adventure. I love that the high school is performing a show geared at the preschool crowd.

There will be 3 performances:

  • Saturday, February 1 – 11a
  • Saturday, February 1 – 2p
  • Sunday, February 2 – 2p
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door for adults. Youth 3 and older are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Lap children 2 and under are $3.

The show will be interactive with the kids in the audience being asked to yell out the answers to help Dora and Boots, to sing/dance, and of course remind “Swiper, No Swiping” just like they do when watching the show.

The Synopsis of the Play is:

Dora, her best buddy Boots the Monkey, and the rest of their friends embark on an exciting trip to Treasure Island. The audience helps them navigate over Dancing Mountain, through Silly Singing Bridge and to confront the Pirate Piggies. Along the way, the audience will use their map-reading, counting, musical and language skills to successfully help Dora reach the treasure. All ends happily onstage with a “yo-ho-ho!”

Definitely sounds like a fun outing for kids who love Dora!
