Our trailer thoughts:

I have to admit that this trailer isn’t getting us excited for Captain Marvel. My daughter’s comment was that it seems more like a DC movie (and not Wonder Woman), and she didn’t mean that as a compliment.

Personally, I hope that Marvel does as good of a job with their first female headliner as DC did with Wonder Woman.

Avengers Infinity War ended with half the universe (including many heroes) turned to dust and a victorious Thanos. A final scene shows Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) sending a message to Captain Marvel. So, we are looking to Captain Marvel to provide answers for how she can help save the universe. It doesn’t seem like the right time for an origin story that takes place more than 20 years ago.

On the plus side, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) looks very much like he did in Pulp Fiction.
