EASTER BUNNY PHOTO EXPERIENCE IS COMING SOON TO BRIARWOOD MALL TO DELIGHT FAMILIES
Popular Caring Bunny event and Pet Photo Night Offer Special Opportunities for photos with the Easter Bunny
Ann Arbor, MI, March 22, 2019 — Simon®, a global leader in premier shopping, dining, entertainment, and mixed-use destinations, is hosting its annual Easter celebration festivities at Briarwood Mall, offering families the chance to participate in traditional and unique seasonal events.
Save time and avoid the line with the Bunny’s FastPass! Now you can reserve your magical moment with Bunny online at www.simonbunny.com.
The Bunny Photo Experience begins March 22 at 11 am and runs through April 20th in the Von Maur Court. Kids will have the chance to visit with the Bunny and take home a treasured snapshot of the fun occasion.
“We love to hold family-friendly events and we always look forward to watching children have fun with the Bunny at Easter,” said Denise Murray, director of marketing at Briarwood Mall.
Briarwood Mall also provides an opportunity for people with all spectrums of special needs and their families to enjoy this time-honored holiday tradition through a sensory-friendly Caring Bunny event in association with Autism Speaks. Caring Bunny will occur on March 31 and April 7 at 9:00 AM prior to mall opening. Guests can register in advance at simon.com/caringbunny. Briarwood Mall Bunny Photo Experience will also share the heart of the Easter Bunny by collecting donations for Autism Speaks throughout the season.
Many steps will be taken to reduce sensory triggers, creating a more comforting environment for children’s cherished visit with the Bunny. The subdued environment is likely to include (specific elements or aesthetics may vary):
- Turning off in-mall music, stopping escalators located near the photo set, dimming the lights and shutting down fountains for the duration of the event.
- Eliminating queue lines through the use of a numbering system whereby guests approach the set when their number is called.
- Special activities geared toward the needs of the child during the ‘wait’ period.
The popular Pet Photo Night returns to the Easter Bunny Photo Experience at Briarwood Mall this year. Many pet owners view their pet as an integral member of the family and are just as committed in caring for their pets as their human family members. Pet Photo nights are hosted after regular mall closing and the set gets an extensive cleaning following the event to remove any potential risk to allergy sufferers. Pet Photo Night at Briarwood Mall will be on March 24 and April 14.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. We now know that there is not one autism but many subtypes, and each person with autism can have unique strengths and challenges. A combination of genetic and environmental factors influence the development of autism, and autism often is accompanied by medical issues such as GI disorders, seizures and sleep disturbances. Autism affects an estimated 1 in 59 children.
