Briarwood Dollar Theatres – Review
Last night we went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel at the Briarwood Dollar Theatres.
For me, the theatre was like taking a step back 20 years to the theaters of my early high school days – No stadium seating, small theaters, small concession stand, no digital projection.
The seats were narrow, not well padded, and low to the ground, but manageable for the duration of the film. Several rows had broken seats in them. On a positive note, the rows were considerably wider than most modern theaters giving my daughter room to move around.
The film had obviously been played many times and was showing the wear in the form of scratches. The sound was adequate, but not THX or Dolby Surround Sound.
The price is definitely right at the theater, and that is about all that it has going for it. It is a great place to catch a kids movie.
