Arbor Annie’s St Patrick’s Day Weekend Picks March 16-18

Saturday is St Patrick’s Day which brings a number of fun family-friendly celebrations around town. Plus, there are several other great events through the weekend. of course, we’ll also be watching our March Madness brackets – Go Blue! Michigan’s game isn’t until 9:40p on Saturday, so it shouldn’t interfere with family fun.

Arbor Annie’s Weekend Event Picks

Our top pick for the weekend is the Leprechaun Parade in Kerrytown on Saturday. Arrive early to make masks. It’s a new event this year, and has been drawing a lot of attention on our events calendar.

This weekend, kids can Meet Children’s Author Andy Griffiths of The 52 Story Treehouse at Nicola’s Books. Saturday is also the annual First Steps Kid Fest/ Stop in for music, fun, and to support First Steps.

Sunday, is a day to look forward with Festifools workshops.

Be on the lookout for Girl Scout Cookies this weekend. There won’t be any cookie booths next weekend, so be sure to shop this weekend. I know we’ll be out again the weekend of March 31/April 1. Check out our article for information on varieties, pricing, and how to find booths.

    The big movie in theaters is last weekend’s release, A Wrinkle in Time. I loved the book when I read it in middle school, but have to admit that I don’t really remember the story. Our weekends have been packed, so I think we’ll have to wait until next week.
