Sunday is the Grand Opening Celebration at University of Michigan Museum of Natural History. They’re expecting to reach capacity, so there may be a line to get in.

If you have older kids, Bumblebee is the Free Morning Movies at Quality 16. It was on our list to see, but we were too busy over the holidays to see it.

This weekend also marks the start of Earth Day events with Pittsfield Township’s Earth Day 5K.

    Movies

Opening this week is Missing Link.

Personally, we are in a waiting game for Avengers Endgame (April 26). If you want to see it opening weekend, I suggest buying your tickets now. The movie is so anticipated that most ticketing websites crashed the day tickets were released last week. I made a run to Emagine and got some of the last tickets for a Friday night show. This weekend we plan to re-watch some of the movies leading up to Endgame.

Avengers Endgame - Tony Stark Stranded

If you want to see superheroes on the big screen, Shazam! and Captain Marvel are in theaters. If you see Captain Marvel (check our review and parental guidance) be sure to stay through the post credit scenes for a connection to Avengers: Endgame.

    First run family-friendly movies include:

    • Wonder Park
    • How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

    Free Weekend Movies

Quality 16’s Free Spring Matinees only has two weeks left. This week is Wonder and next week is Bumblebee.
